About Me (Jasper)

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona playing pretty much every sport. You name it, I tried it. In high school, I played JV baseball, ran some track, and ended up the third-string goalkeeper on the soccer team.

I went to the University of Pennsylvania, and on freshman move-in day, the rowing team was advertising to all potential walk-ons. I decided to give it a go and ended up loving it! I felt right at home being a part of a team, and appreciated that rowing really rewards the people that work the hardest day-in and day-out. I was lucky to row with such amazing teammates and under an incredibly knowledgable and talented coach. I ended up winning a bronze medal at the Eastern Sprints and a silver at the IRA championship regatta in 2017 with my teammates in the Varsity LM8+. 

By my junior year, I was racing in the varsity and could see that I had a lot more potential, so the thought of pursuing the National Team started budding. Since college, I've been training full time (10-14 workouts per week), have won a number of national regattas in the lightweight men’s single and double, and have represented the USA multiple times on the international level since 2019.

I'm currently training as a part of Texas Rowing Center's high performance group: trchighperformance.org

Outside of rowing, I have a passion for cycling, both on and off the road, and photography.

2023 - Won LM1x at USRowing Winter Speed Orders, 9th place in LM2x at World Cup II

2022 - Won LM2x at USRowing National Selection Regatta 2, 5th place in the LM2x at World Cup II, 13th place in the LM2x at World Rowing Championship

2021 - Won the LM2x at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials, Competed at Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne, Switzerland, Finished 9th in the LM2x at World Cup II

2020 - None :(

2019 - Represented the USA in the LM4x (7th at Worlds), 1st place LM1x at USRowing Fall Speed Order, 1st place LM1x at Head of the Charles Regatta, 1st place LM1x at USRowing Spring Speed Order

2018 - 1st place Senior LM1x at Canadian Henley, 1st place LM1x at USRowing Spring Speed Order

2017 - 2nd place Varsity LM8+ at IRA Regatta, 3rd place Varsity LM8+ at Eastern Sprints with Penn
